Tests/interviews in connection to this selection procedure will take place approximately 4 weeks after the deadline for applications. Applicants are kindly requested to plan their availability during this period accordingly, in case they are short-listed.

 

​Selected candidates will be expected to report for duty approximately two to three months after receiving an offer of employment at the latest.

 

This selection exercise may be used to generate a reserve list of suitable candidates that may be used to address Organization's similar staffing needs in the future.

 

 

POST DESCRIPTION

Assist the Budget unit in administrative tasks; constructing the Organization's detailed consolidated budgets; month-end and year-end closing tasks and audits; producing part of projects report; and providing ad-hoc budget studies.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Duty 1

  • Compile all staff requests
  • Management of the common mailbox
  • Update files & process on the dashboard
  • Notes on weekly meetings

 

Duty 2

  • Assistance with the construction of budget models and tools
  • Consolidate budget request data from different entities and ensure that they are complete on time

 

Duty 3

  • Assist with the year-end budgetary close and reporting process
  • Support business units in answering questions related to budgets
  • Assist with compiling details and collecting supporting documents for external audits

 

Duty 4

  • Assist Budget Administrators in compiling project mapping
  • Assist Budget Administrators to collect all information on projects on common drive and mailbox
  • Assist the Budget Administration department in the development of financial management reporting
  • Assist with providing standard reports on activities (including staff vacancies, staff requests, numbers of missions, orders, etc).

 

Duty 5

  • Under the supervision of the Budget Coordinator, undertake ad-hoc financial and costing reviews and analyses, changes in systems, and updates of policies and procedures.

 

Duty 6

  • Perform other related duties as required by the Budget Coordinator

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education: A vocational diploma in the area concerned, or the Baccalaureat or equivalent, is required

 

Experience required: At least two years' experience in the area concerned. Candidates with a two-year higher education diploma need no previous experience.

 

Skills required: 

  • Working knowledge of English is required. Proficiency in a second official working language of the Organization would be an additional asset.
  • Experience in working with computers including knowledge of oral presentation software, business intelligence, and word processing software.
  • Proven expertise in the administrative and technical areas concerned.
