Employment Opportunities

Essential Insights

INTERPOL regularly launches “Roster Exercises” for generic posts. These Roster Exercises create lists of recommended candidates who may be contacted when opportunities arise. Although these roles can be located in any of INTERPOL's duty stations, please note that they will be available in the search engine in the "Lyon" duty station only.

Candidates may notice some discrepancies between the duty station(s) and the location of the post. This can happen when there are multiple duty stations for a post while the publication is live and published in only one location. Please consider the information in the post description as the most accurate to determine the Duty Station(s).

If you are interested in a seconded post, please click on Secondments to understand if you are eligible.

Testimonials

Contracted official:

"As a political scientist and criminologist, I have always aspired to work in the field of security. INTERPOL is a unique niche that allowed me to combine my professional experience, language, skills and passion in order to make the world a safer place without necessarily joining local police forces.

Working at the heart of Directorate of Police Services, I was able to have a direct exposure to law enforcement’s work, and to contribute to the work of 196 countries in combating firearms trafficking and firearms related crimes. This exposure allowed me to grow beyond my comfort zone as I witness the impact of my work materialize to cause significant impact at an international level.

Immersing in an environment with a diverse spectrum of cultural backgrounds and perspectives has been personally and professionally enriching."

Intern:

"Joining INTERPOL has been a rewarding experience as early as the streamlined recruitment process began. Since the initial application, every step was meticulously organized yet it remained flexible. In fact, the on-boarding team never failed to provide me with timely updates and a personalized guidance when needed. Being used to having internationals in its offices, administrative procedures for the latter are a well-worn normality.

I highly recommend this adventure to anyone passionate about international law enforcement!”

Webinars at INTERPOL

In its continued efforts to increase gender parity at the Organization and sustain a diverse workforce, the Human Resources team has identified Webinars as being one of its new communication means towards specialized and public audiences.

The very first Webinar was done as an online Discussion with African Policewomen about Sencondments and happened on June 2nd 2023. It aimed at supporting member countries to second female officers to INTERPOL, in particular those from unrepresented and under-represented countries.

Since then, other ones dedicated to our member countries as well as Law Enforcement audience were organized such as the online session for Indonesian Police Officers and the NCB Information Session.

In addition, other webinars focusing on a wider audience were launched such as the one to present IT job opportunities in INTERPOL, INTERPOL’s Career Webinar for Women, ect.

The above work had very positive results as the participants participated in INTERPOL's diversity and inclusion work, highlighting the importance of branding INTERPOL as an attractive employer.

In the future, we will continue this series of informative, targeted webinars, hosting expertise specific, gender specific, and country specific sessions to address the specific needs of the Organization.
