INTERPOL’s Internship Programme welcomes candidates from any of our 196 member countries. The Programme attracts talented students or recent graduates to the Organization and provides them with:
- A better understanding of the Organization’s goals and objectives and how international police cooperation is organized
- An insight into how an international organization operates
- A framework to enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments, thereby developing skills which are useful for their career and future employment
- Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance

As of 1 January 2025, the internship allowance is EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns.
Interns are required to be subscribed to a health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship. However, they are eligible to request enrolment in the Organization’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost.
Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the conditions of internship and the requirements prior to applying for this internship.
INTRODUCTION
The INTERPOL boutique is open to staff, family members, conference delegates and visitors to the General Secretariat. It offers a wide range of clothing and souvenirs personalized with the Organization’s logo. The Boutique is also responsible for coordinating gifts for staff to take on mission.
Under the supervision of the Head of the Boutique, the selected candidate will:
- Contribute to the stock management of boutique and protocol items, updating the database and taking part in inventories;
- Assist in the daily activities of the boutique: customer service, sales, etc.
- Take part in the inventory and maintenance of the donations and gifts received by the Organization;
- Carry out any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Throughout this internship, the selected candidate will:
- Gain sales and stock management experience and skills in an international environment
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of the Enterprise Resource Planning Software SAP;
- Be exposed to a multicultural and multidisciplinary working environment.
REQUIREMENTS
All candidates will be assessed on the basis of the under-mentioned requirements.
- Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 196 member countries
- Have attained the legal age of majority in their country of nationality
- Adaptable to an international, multicultural and multilingual environment; good communication skills; and ability to work in a team.
TRAINING/EDUCATION
- Be enrolled in a, or have graduated from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution (with a relevant vocational diploma e.g. BTS or a Bachelor’s degree) within the past one year on the closing date of this call for interns, preferably in a field related to Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Business management and/or similar.
LANGUAGES
- Professional fluency in English and French is required.
SPECIFIC SKILLS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Organizational skills
- Discretion, diplomacy, tact and rigor
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
- A good command in any other INTERPOL official languages (Spanish and Arabic).
- Proven experience in the use of the Enterprise Resource Planning Software SAP
